Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some common questions and answers about Notary services.

Why are documents notarized?

A Florida Notary Public is an official of integrity, commissioned by the office of the Governor, of the State of Florida, to serve the public as an impartial witness, in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts, related to the signing of important documents.

Do I need an appointment?

Since Mobile Notary Tampa is a “mobile only” service, we don’t maintain an office for walk-in clients, so we do require appointments.

What types of identification are acceptable?

Most clients have a Florida drivers license, an ID card, or a drivers license from another state, which are all acceptable forms of identification.

There are more acceptable forms of ID list on the Identification Page.

Can we do a notarization in a public place?

Public locations are fine for us. Whatever location is convenient for you.

What documents do you notarize?

Mobile Notary Tampa notarizes a wide range of documents. Please take a look at our Notarization page where most documents are listed. If you don’t see your document listed, don’t worry, it’s only a partial list.

Do you notarize on weekends?

Yes. We perform notarizations 7 days a week, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM.

Can I come to your location?

Since Mobile Notary Tampa is a “mobile only” service, we don’t maintain an office for walk-in clients. However, if you urgently need a document notarized, call us at 813.591.0820 to schedule an emergency appointment.

How soon can you get here?

That depends on the current day’s schedule. Call or text us at 813.591.0820 for a real-time ETA (estimated time of arrival).

What areas do you service?

We offer traveling Notary services throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk Counties.

How do I book your services?

To book an appointment, the fee must be paid in advance. We will send a PayPal Money Request to your email address or mobile phone. Once it’s paid, your appointment is locked in.

All payments are processed securely via PayPal.

How much does a notarization cost?

Notarization fees are based on a “per-stamp” cost, which is a $10 fee, established by the State of Florida. There is also our flat travel fee based on the County where the notarization takes place. See Fees for complete pricing information.

Do you give refunds?

Time is an irretrievable commodity, therefore, the Travel portion of the fee is non-refundable once travel to the location has commenced.

If a notarization does not take place, you will be refunded the notarization portion of the fee.
